S.L. (Les) Mallow, Jr., Esq. joined Busch, Zurbuch & Thompson, PLLC as an associate attorney in 2024. He brings a robust educational and professional background to the firm, having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdepartmental Studies and a Master of Arts in Education from West Virginia University. Mr. Mallow later pursued his legal education at the Appalachian School of Law, obtaining both his Juris Doctor and Juris Master degrees. During his time at ASL, he had the distinct honor of externing for the Supreme Court of Virginia under the Honorable Elizabeth A. McClanahan (Ret.).

Before joining Busch, Zurbuch & Thompson, PLLC, Mr. Mallow clerked for the Honorable James W. Courrier, Jr. in the 21st Judicial Circuit. He then gained valuable experience in private practice at Mallow Law, PLLC.

Mr. Mallow is an active member of the legal community. He is a member of the West Virginia State Bar and serves as a District 12 Board Member for the WVSB Young Lawyer Section. Additionally, he is affiliated with the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia.

Mr. Mallow is admitted to practice law in West Virginia and before the United States District Courts for both the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia. His practice encompasses criminal defense, civil defense (and other complex litigation), government law, municipal law, and business law.
